Objective
After reading the 2005 novel Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro, I was tasked to design a classical book using selections from the reading combined with text from another author. The author and text I chose was Vauhini Vara’s Confessions of a Viral AI Writer written and posted in September 2023. I wanted to use these two texts to compare and contrast how people see clones in Never Let Me Go and how we see Artificial Intelligence today.
I started by designing and binding my own paperback book. I then took my work into Figma to make an interactive alternative. All of the visuals in my book come from a previous project to create a custom typeface found here
